World Congress of Medical Acupuncture and Natural Medicine in Edmonton, Alberta, Kanada, statt. Dr. Steven KH Aung organisiert diesen Kongress zum 4. Mal. Über 1500 Kongressteilnehmer werden erwartet. Vor dem Kongress finden am 23.-24. August precongress-workshops statt. Hier einige Zeilen aus der Kongresseinladung: I take great pleasure in especially inviting you to participate in our
4th World Congress of Medical Acupuncture and Natural Medicine, to be held
in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, from August 23-27, 2000 (Pre-Congress
workshops: August 23-24, 2000). Our congress theme is 'Integrative
Medicine: Competent, Complementary and Compassionate Primary Care for the
Next Millennium'. This, I believe, is a challenging but extremely
rewarding task for us to embrace as healers-no matter where we are from,
nor our specific area of interest. We would like to highlight the vital
importance of effective preventive measures, diligent self-care, and the
informed and judicious use of the various complementary therapeutic
modalities. You are most cordially welcome to come and share your valuable
knowledge, questions and experience with us this August at the Shaw
Conference Centre in the heart of the great Canadian city of Edmonton. Let
us build on the momentum achieved during the 3rd World Congress
in Edmonton in August 1995 and the previous congresses in Beijing in 1991
and 1987. I am confident that all of us will benefit from this wonderful,
