Chinese Facial Diagnosis Lillian Garnier May 31 and June 1. 2003 In this workshop, participants will learn how to recognize the major physical signs of the five element profiles in the face, the areas of the face that correspond to each internal organ and the signs of Qi and Shen on the face and the specific markings for diseases. The face shows the state of the internal organs and the disease process long before tests can. Possible treatments will also be discussed based on the psychological and emotional underlay of the disease and the connection between personality and disease will be explored. The face is a map of life experiences and a blueprint for the body's functions. From the face, the psychological and emotional underlay of the disease process can be diagnosed. Imbalance of the Qi is the primary cause of disease. Learn how to determine from the face where in the body the Qi is disturbed and recognize the personality traits of your patients. Discover how the personality profiles of organ excess and deficiency lead to disease patterns. Learn techniques to unblock Qi emotionally and physically, and how to control emotional actions and reactions to regain balance in the organs and personality for optimal health. Lillian Garnier is an internationally recognized expert on Chinese Facial Diagnosis. She is an informative speaker who helps people get to know themselves and others better. Lillian is an accredited instructor for acupuncturists and nurses and teaches at Samra University of Oriental Medicine, Esalen Institute and other universities and colleges. She learned the ancient science from her Chinese grandmother, and has also spent many years researching texts in Oriental Medicine and correlating them to Western studies in health, psychoneuroimmunology and to her degree work in psychology from UCLA.
